The King of the Golden Hall

Today I pushed through this painting. I am not entirely happy with it. Maybe I will expound on why later. Regardless, it was a healthy experience creating a painting primarily out of my head. Healthy because I learned the following:
1. I need to start doing studies of important elements of each composition (ie the drapery and anatomy of the figures)
2. I need to use models so that I can accurately depict lighting
3. I need to measure all angles when I sketch out my dimensions in the early stages of painting

Yes! This was a learning experience. Greater things will come.
