Pygmalion


This monopolized many of my artist dates last week. She is done in colored pencil and a throwback to my highschool years of practicing drawing people out of books since I couldn't find models. In this case I used my latest favorite anatomy book. The rigor of drawing something realistic and controlled was a therapeutic diversion from my Dr. Seuss, messy ink, and charcoal drawings. I think I might try tackling realism once every month or two... just to prove that I can.

Nice drawing Kuyler. It is amazing how much one can learn by doing the occasional mr. wishart high school drawing from a photo.
