"Shall We Be Friends Son of Earth?!"

In the last 24 hours I finished my sketchbook and my masters degree. Keen. Here is the last sketch from my book complete with mouse edited photoshop. Erg. My wig for a Wacom tablet.

I realized that learning photoshop is like being in grade school again. A few months ago my creations were like big blotchy tempera monsters (I hope this link is satire). Now I am to that artistic phase where my works are like the cover of a pink binder with BFF written over and over and meticulously colored using magic markers. Soon my photoshop creations might even smack of sword and sandal warriors drawn in colored pencil on the back of pre-algebra assignments .

One last thing, bloggers, when you click on an image it pulls up a giant sized file that feels like an examination of the pores and follicles of my painting. Is there any way to shrink that linked file?

Purty! As for the big linked image thing, if you want to make it smaller you'll need to reduce the image in Photoshop to use fewer pixels. I can show you how if you'd like.

That said, I'd prefer if you don't change a thing. I like saving the big versions of art you post, they look great as desktop pictures on my big screen. And if I ever wanted a print it gives me a much higher quality.

Now that you've finished the sketchbook, you should scan more of and post the images. Congrats on finishing the masters. Are we going to have a celebration in your honor?

Wow, even better than the first draft. I agree with swinte--I like seeing all the detail. Ethan's review? "Impressive." If only we'd had the KL illustrated Prince Caspian to read! Finished the book tonight, by the way, so viewing your picture was our big finish. Not counting going to the cinema this week.
